Our client is a large cap private equity-backed Services business, which generates EBITDA of circa £50million.

The private equity fund is keen to appoint an Interim Group COO to partner with the CEO and CFO on financial and operational projects.

  • Objective of the role is to act as the third senior person in the leadership team alongside the CEO and CFO
  • Focus on direct management of key business priorities, as well as managing the broader team to deliver their improvement plan benefits in UK
  • Key business priorities include; recruitment and retention, US gross margin improvement actions and UK operational performance management to support customer experience and cost efficiency
  • The position will be supported by existing senior PMO resource dedicated specifically to the improvement plan delivery
  • The GM, US, and UK Operations Director will report into this role to focus on delivering the key business priorities
  • The successful candidate requires a strong financial background to support ongoing business performance management during exit process
  • Specifically, the individual requires operational credibility and experience to direct UK key business priorities

Start Date: March 2019

Duration: end December 2019

The successful candidate will have the following profile:

  • A proven COO, ideally with an accountancy (ACA/CIMA) or MBA background
  • Experience within a Services business
  • Experience in a Private Equity-backed environment is preferred
