Job Details
To effectively manage all aspects of fleet compliance and ensure cost efficient fleet maintenance. To ensure all areas of the company O licence are fully complied with in line with the undertakings made to the traffic commissioner. To manage driver recruitment, training and operational compliance.
Client Details
The client will already be in a Regional Transport Fleet manager role and have experience of dealing with 100 vehicles and drivers across multiple sites. Knowledge of the recycling industry would be desirable but not essential. CPC is essential and IOSH and NEEBOSH would be advantageous. Must be able to commute to Derbyshire. Must have excellent man management skills and an expert knowledge of road transport legislation.
Description
Role of the Regional Transport Fleet Manager:
- Day to day management of Fleet and Drivers
- Ensure all aspects of 'O' Licence are compliant
- Monitor and review fleet KPIs to improve effectiveness
- Reduce vehicle repair costs
- Effective container management
- Monitor driver compliance
- Manage the FORS accreditation's and strive to improve on this
- Assist with specification of new vehicles and equipment
Profile
The successful candidate must have a background in Logistics & Supply Chain and will have excellent man management skills with an eye for continuous improvement. Excellent transport and fleet knowledge and experience. Experience with dealing with 100 vehicles and 100 drivers. Excellent knowledge of road legislation. Knowledge of the recycling industry would be advantageous. Willing to drive the business forward as it grows through a growth period. IOSH essential. National CPC essential.
Job Offer
