The role is responsible for ensuring the Group runs an efficient and effective end-to-end Purchase to Pay process, including supplier on-boarding and supplier experience. Leading the supplier management team, you will be accountable for delivering both continuous and step change improvements to how to work with and pay suppliers, working closely with the AP team.

Head of P2P - Finance & Procurement - Property and Housing

Principle accountabilities

You will be accountable for the performance of the Purchase to Pay process including the following key aspects:

  • Build a vision and strategy for Purchase to Pay ensuring you are incorporating cutting edge best practice and industry leading capability
  • Work with senior leaders to understand key strategic objectives and develop and implement improvements accordingly
  • Work with existing and future suppliers to understand their changing needs and incorporate experiential learning into process improvements and overall strategy
  • Lead your team to support continuous improvements raised by the business to deliver improved process performance
  • Own the process architecture and design to ensure it is continuously improved and is both efficient and effective
  • Measure actual process performance against design, provide insight and identify target improvements across people, process and technology
  • Act as a key business partner to process operators and support them in identifying and delivering improvements to improve overall performance

Profile

Head of P2P - Finance & Procurement - Property and Housing

Key competencies:

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, able to build strong relationships and influence behaviour at senior levels
  • A strategic thinker, able to build and implement long-term improvement programmes involving multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong people management skills, comfortable leading multi-disciplinary teams to achieve results for customer groups
  • Core process improvement capabilities, adept at making data driven decisions to quantifiably improve performance across people, process and technology
  • A clear communicator, taking complex problems and comfortably presenting them to senior/large groups to educate and empower others to implement change
  • Strong analytical skills

Essential:

  • Experience leading transformational programs within a FTSE environment
  • Managing people to deliver results
  • Process improvement capability

Desirable:

  • Experience building customer experience (CX) maps and running CX interviews
  • Accounts payable / procurement experience
  • Financial accounting and reporting experience, particularly on Coda (Group's financial management system)
