Reporting to the Vice President of EMEA Operations, the Director of EMEA Consumer Credit is accountable to growing our credit business, delivering revenue and reduced transaction expense for PayPal while creating phenomenal experiences for our consumers and merchants.
They will develop and lead teams of credit specialists driving adoption and usage of PayPal credit products.
He/She will partner with internal stakeholders to develop and execute on a credit strategy and growth plan by market in EMEA.
Develop and execute PayPal’s consumer credit strategy working in partnership with the Regional Business units, Operational Excellence and the global Credit organization. Develop, execute and optimize effective customer adoption, utilization and retention programs intended to drive revenue growth. Understand customer needs and preferences to inform and shape credit acquisition and servicing models. Manage quality and risk across products and markets. Work closely with Finance and Business Intelligence to effectively execute on strategy and product pricing. Maintain compliance with legal requirements, policies and procedures by market. Bring a deep understanding of consumer credit and the sector to the leadership team to support decision making. Evaluate and compare competitor programs. Build credit capabilities in-house by recruiting high calibre credit experts to work at PayPal. Lead, coach and mentor credit talent in the organization, ensure growth and development of leading-edge skills along with rigorous adoption of performance management standards. Contribute to the senior leadership team at PayPal, engage with key stakeholders including, Operational Excellence, Workforce Planning, Human Resources and Regional Business Units. Participate in and sponsor projects as required.
MBA/BA Degree or equivalent practical experience Relevant Industry Qualifications
An expert with significant knowledge of the credit sector and experienced working across different aspects of consumer credit. Demonstrated experience building business cases, setting expectations, tracking performance and measuring/reporting on metrics. Proven ability to influence and execute effectively in a highly matrixed environment. Leading diverse teams, practical developments and coaching of teams with a proven track record in developing credit experts.Expertise in managing credit within regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions/geographies. Driving process improvements and analytical practices at a global level. Knowledge of the online/mobile commerce and payments sector is a plus.

This position requires travel, including international travel. The candidate needs to be able to work any shift based on business need.
