The key objective for the Global Director Marketing position is to support business strategy, develop and implement marketing, product and sales strategy to deliver product and service solutions with the objective of achieving continuous and sustainable growth.


  • Develop and coordinate setting of appropriate sales budgets
  • Anticipate strategic growth opportunities and trends based on thorough analysis of developments in the markets
  • Conceptualise and establish business plans for the different product categories
  • Drive Product Portfolio Management for new and existing products matching long term objectives
  • Drive Market Management; Actively understand markets, establish market intelligence and build trusted relationships with regional selling entities
  • Build up, retain and develop talents


  • Proven track record in senior strategic marketing roles in the medical technology industry
  • Successful track record in outperforming competition by setting out clear business strategies based on extensive market knowledge
  • Proven leadership experience of successfully managing marketing teams, preferably in an international matrix organisation
  • Familiar with creating a roadmaps and guidelines that enable local marketing and sales teams to develop winning and sustainable strategies
  • Experience in managing product life cycles; drive innovation and ability to identify opportunities for new product and application development working closely together with R&D
