Category Manager – Logistics

As Category Manager in Logistics, you’ll enjoy ownership and responsibility as you create high-quality procurement strategies that meet our business needs and maximise our purchasing power.
We’ll look to you to effectively prioritise categories within our portfolio, specifically sub-contract haulage, truck wash, vehicle leasing, vehicle maintenance, bunkered diesel, fuel, couriers, owner drivers, service partners and outsourced service centres. As Category Manager in Logistics, you’ll oversee category planning and management as well as supplier management, and make sure that we maintain smooth operations throughout by identifying areas of improvement and resolving any disputes.
We’re looking for a Category Manager with a MCIPS qualification or equivalent, having significant business experience, ideally in procurement, within a services or logistics sector. Experience of leading core-project and cross-functional teams will be key too. You’ll have good knowledge of relevant supply markets and category and supplier-relationship management tools and techniques. And of course, you’ll be a great facilitator, with excellent relationship-management and influencing skills.
