In this core function within Zurich’s Investment Management team, you will develop theeconomic backdrop and investment strategy for the US and UK markets for the Groupworldwide. This will entail devising economic scenarios and proposing profitable investment strategies for US and UK equities and sovereign bonds. You will be required to display a systematic and transparent analysis process and be able to debate the wider implications of your findings for the Group globally. We also count on you to communicate investment strategy through publications and presentations. Your deep understanding of the financial markets and macroeconomics are essential for this critical role within the Group.
Your Skills and Experience
You should have a university degree and be a holder of a professional investment qualification, such as CFA. We expect significant investment experience, gained at leading investment institutions, with at least 10 years of experience as a senior portfolio manager, asset allocator or investment strategist. A proven track record is required. Further, you should have a detailed understanding of successful analysis and evaluation techniques and be experienced in formulating and explaining a credible investment outlook. This role also requires excellent communication skills, the ability to project confidence and to debate investment strategy persuasively with senior professionals. We value an independent, logical thinker who is committed to providing high quality work. As a native English speaker, you will possess a high degree of proficiency in verbal and written English. You will be happy to contribute to a dynamic and cooperative spirit within a small team of investment professionals. Primary work location is Zurich. There will be limited travel requirements.
