The ideal candidate will:

Key responsibilities:

  • Be an active member of the team on client-facing project work, being a self-starter and motivated to produce the required high standard of deliverables
  • Supporting the teams propositions and delivery methodologies
  • Assisting business development activities through working on bids and proposal responses establishing credibility both internally and externally through your knowledge, approach, and professionalism

Essential skills:

Demonstrable ability in some of the following areas:

  • Advanced data analytics, using platforms such as SAS, SPSS, R/S/S+
  • Data analytics and visualisation products such as Tableau, Spotfire and Qlikview
  • Strong SQL and data manipulation skill set
  • Data quality and data cleansing techniques
  • Experience of the UK Financial Services industry
  • Advanced MS Excel

In addition, has demonstrable experience including:

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of performing on project teams and providing deliverables
  • Ability to identify and address client needs, including developing and sustaining meaningful client relationships and understand the client's business
  • Project management skills in relation to data management projects, including developing project plans, budgets and deliverables schedules
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to develop new ideas into structured/deliverable projects
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation and reporting skills
  • Ability to manage tasks or projects, meet deadlines, overcome challenges and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Desire to work in an exciting, yet rapidly changing environment

Desirable skills:

  • Understanding of relevant FS regulations (e.g. BCBS, CRD IV, MIFID, EMIR, AML, insider trading, fraud)
  • Data modelling experience
  • Knowledge of database and ETL technologies
  • Experience of business analysis tasks and approaches

With strong modelling skills and the ability to draw business insights that will add real value to the business.
