Treasurer to the Fire Authority
East Sussex Fire Authority is seeking a strategic, senior manager to undertake the role of Treasurer.
Reporting to the Combined Fire Authority, this post will play a key strategic role in providing support and guidance to Principal Officers and Corporate Management Team members on all relevant corporate risk, strategic service planning, resource, governance and probity management matters, during a period of considerable challenge and change.
The ideal candidate will hold a professional, general management or specific qualification(s) in finance or related subject relevant to the position of LGFA s112 officer and have strong background knowledge of local government and / or Fire & Rescue Service management.
This post holds particular responsibility for corporate governance, strategic risk management, value for money, procurement and financial services. The role is also responsible for delivery and implementation for all External Audit and Internal Audit programmes, as well as ensuring adherence to Standing Orders, Delegated Functions and Financial Regulations of the Fire Authority.
