DESCRIPTION

This Financial Institutions Business Intelligence (BI) professionals help companies provide strategies, processes and technology to drive the overall usage of data and the creation of information within the organization. In order to provide critical information and insights for decision-making, many parts of the organization must play an active role in collecting, processing, measuring and monitoring business performance.

Our BI and Data Governance consultants help clients deliver strategic insights to the enterprise through the design and implementation of leading-edge technologies, business process, and reporting practices. This Company views Business Intelligence as more than simply reporting, understanding that information must be sourced, cleansed, organized, and then providing to end users in an actionable format in order to truly deliver business value. Professionals in our practice help our clients with everything from the upfront identification of data all the way to the end provisioning of that data and active governance of the information.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a strong technologist or business professional that understands the fundamentals of data management and can apply these to a number of different types of projects. This candidate should be able to work in a dynamic environment, interacting with both key business as well as technical buyers, and will be able to work within a team. Our Data Governance practice covers a wide range of areas, including Data Quality, Master Data Management, Meta Data Management, and many other control areas required for ensuring that we get the right data to the right resources at the right time.

PREFERRED TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Proven experience helping organizations design or implement effective Data Governance programs
  • Prior experience working in either Data warehousing or Business Intelligence
  • Experience with any major ETL vendor, such as SSIS, Informatica, Data Stage, etc. is a plus
  • Experience designing and implementing data models for applications or reporting is a plus
  • Experience with either Master or Meta Data repositories, such as Business Glossary and Metadata workbench
  • Experience working with business stakeholders to translate business issues into technology solutions and vice versa
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technology project risks and strategies for managing and mitigating them

EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or other post-graduate degree is a plus
  • 10+ years in a related field, preferably in professional services and/or industry
  • Prior consulting experience is a plus
  • Healthcare or Financial Services experience is a plus

ABILITY TO TRAVEL

  • Travel throughout the month frequently required based on client requests/commitments
