Commercial & Project Finance Analyst

Based Tower of London, Central London

Salary up to £50k per annum

When we talk about keeping a close eye on the figures at our Palaces we are not referring to Henry VIII or William the Conqueror, we are talking about our finances. Welcoming so many visitors to Historic Royal Palaces’ five sites, effective financial management is vital.

As a charity our finances depend entirely on the support of visitors, members, donors, volunteers and sponsors alike. Far from being stuck in the past, we want you to employ the very latest analytical techniques and strategic thinking in order to provide high quality project financial management and control.

Reporting into the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, this is a new role which will take a lead in the financial management, modelling and reporting on change projects and key strategic initiatives across the organisation. Whilst there is some input into more routine elements of budgeting, planning and forecasting, the role is predominantly focused on owning and delivering key change initiatives, working with stakeholders across levels from directors to project sponsors and functions to ensure their successful completion.

Unsurprisingly, you will hold a relevant professional finance qualification, have a high level of commercial awareness and the strong financial management and analytical skills necessary to provide the highest calibre financial project management and business decision support. Strong communication and negotiation skills are also essential for the role. Ideally you will have worked in a project finance role in a complex organisation in the past.

Trace is an innovative consultancy and we are serious about finding you the right role. Our Predictive Fit Profiler is an in-house profiling tool which provides candidates and clients with a method for assessing personal fit within a company – through measuring personality, thinking style, cultural compatibility and motivations.

When you meet one of our Consultants, you will hear a lot more about it.
